StatWorks

StatWorks.ca had not been working till last night, because eatj.com tomcat in my account had been down. It is on again now but I believe that it will not work again soon. For past week, it only worked time to time. Now, we have a mirror site at StatWorks-free.com. I hope that this mirror site helps improve our online services

We are in testing period. It is FREE

Developed and owned by i-bioweb. Please visit i-bioweb for more information

What is it?

  1. We aim to provide a simple online platform to perform high-end statistical analysis for your study or your business

How to use it?

  1. Three easy steps
  2. 1. Prepare your data
  3. 2. Upload your data file
  4. 3. Check your email box

  5. You are only a click away from statistics analysis and graphs
For more information, please visit our website and watch our YouTube videos.

  6. For more YouTube videoes, please click here
  7. Please like us on facebook and ask us any questions and give us comments (search for stat works at facebook.com). Click here to go to our facebook page

How much it costs?

  1. We are in testing period. For the time-being, our website is totally free.

Who is it for?

  1. We are intending to have an ethical pricing strategy to support students and non-profit. We aim to remove boundaries for accessing statistical tools such as SPSS, SAS, and JMP, which are complicated to use and often expensive.
  2. This platform is being designed to increase access to statistical analysis for students and disadvantaged groups across the world.
  3. As commercial ventures, you will still find our online tools very useful and more economical than use main stream professional statistical tools such as SPSS, SAS, etc.
  4. Our online tools allow you to simply upload your .csv (comma separated), .txt (text file), or .xls (MS Excel file) files and we will do all the hard work for you and send statistical outputs and beautiful graphs to your email for your presentation or business plans.

Want customization?

  1. I can customize our tools specifically tailored to your need at reasonable rates. For example, if you would like to analyze scientific research data, supply chain queries, marketing/ sales data, or connect our programs to your existing database, please email me at jenniferjkang@statworks.ca, jenniferjkang@gmail.com, or jenniferjkang@hotmail.com
  2. You can customize your teaching program to work with our website. Take a look at three examples of lessons that I have prepared in advance on our website under Help - Teacher's resources.

Subscribe our email lists

  1. We develop online statistical tools for our online customers. We will update our services every week. Please regularly visit our webpage for new statisitcs and graphs. Please subscribe to our update notification email lists. To subscribe, please email us at subscribe@i-bioweb.com.

Price/ Membership

  1. After testing period, we will charge customers based on server usage (data size and Internet traffic). Users will have options to choose pay-as-go or to pay per one year, 6 months, 3 months, or month. We will also have different price levels according to nation's GDP. Our program will be free for students registered in schools in Africa. If you are students from disaster areas such as Japan's tsunami area, Haiti, Lybia, Syria, New Zealand, Mexico, Indonesia, Nepal, or any other troubled regions, our program will be free of charge. Please email us describing disaster(s) of your areas or country at free@i-bioweb.com. As we need to maintain our servers, we will charge very low fees to students from other areas.

  2. To celebrate opening our company in Quebec, Canada, we will register free of charge first 100 customers from Quebec and first 100 customers from other provinces in Canada.

Donation

  1. You can make a donation to help us be online. To make a donation, please click "Donate" button at the top of the page. We use secure Paypal sevices.

Let us help you choose right statistics for your data

  1. We encourage you to complete our guidance question set, which consists of seven multiple choice questions about your data. For each question, please choose one answer that correctly describes your data, and click 'next' button. You will be linked to Statistics Table upon completion so that you can find out an answer. Please click here to get started.

Statistical programs available at our website

  1. Summary Statistics: mean, median, variance, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis, min, max, histograph (bar)

  2. Outliers, transformation, CSV file process: Z-score of outliers, Log Transform, Power to Cube (3), Power to Square (2), Power to Square-Root (1/2), Make comma separated file from tab separated file

  3. Parametric Assumption test: Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality. We skip Levene's test. But please remember that if variances of different samples in your data are very different, you need to be cautious about results of parametric tests

  4. Parametric Tests: Pearson Correlation, Independent t-test, Dependent t-test, Multivariate Dependent (Matched Pair) t-test, One Way Independent ANOVA, One Way Repeated Measure ANOVA, Multiple Regression, Independent Factorial ANOVA: Two Way Independent ANOVA, Manova, Two Factor Manova.

  5. Non-Parametric Tests: Spearman correlation, mann-whitney test, wilcoxon rank sum, krustal-wallis test, friedman's ANOVA

  6. Analysis of Qualitative Data: Polytomous Responses (Log-Linear Models, Equiprobability model, Symmetry model, Quadratic Log-Linear Model, Maximum-Likelihood Estimates, Chi-square statistics, Residual Analysis, and more), R by S table Analysis, Additive Log-Linear Model for Poisson Observations

  7. Other: chi-square test

Practical examples

  1. Social Science Example
  2. Pearson correlation for measuring people's propensity to vote in an election
  3. Non-parametric tests to analyze social participation with well-being from survey data

  4. Business Example
  5. Multiple regression for sales' demand/ prediction
  6. Parametric tests (two-way ANOVA/ MANOVA) for analyzing marketing/ sales data of cancer drugs from three different levels of care
  7. Pearson Chi-Square for calculating gender impacts on AIDS Syndrome

  8. Biological Science Example
  9. MANOVA for understanding of ecological importance of coastal and offshore waters for fish
  10. Two-way ANOVA for detecting a particular tree species that was associated with taking up pollutants directly from the atmosphere along with nutrients and water vapor in highway traffic

  11. Survey Data Analysis and Poisson Distr. Example
  12. Symmetry model and Quadratic Log-Linear Model for analyzing survey data, such as "Where would you place yourself on a seven point scale: 1 - extremely liberal, 2 - liberal, 3 - slightly liberal, 4 - middle of road, 5 - slightly conservative, 6 - conservative, 7 extremely conservative?
  13. Additive log-linear model for Poisson Observations(Deming-Stephan algorithm, Maximum likelihood estimates, Chi-square test) for testing independence of daily suicide rate from Jan to Dec in various years
